Do I need a booking agent?
Technically, no — but having a good booking agent can make all the difference. A booking agent like Global Pursuits helps match you with the perfect hunt based on your goals, preferences, and budget. We save you time by managing logistics, guiding you through state tags and licenses, and helping with international travel advice and communication. We also help eliminate uncertainty by only working with proven, trusted outfitters.
What questions should I ask before booking with an agent?
Here are four key things to consider:
- Experience: Haskell and Shawn have spent most of their lives hunting across the world. Every outfitter we work with has either hunted with one of us personally or has been thoroughly vetted by someone on our Global Pursuits team.
- Reputation: Don’t just take our word for it — check out our testimonials from past hunters. We also offer references from outfitters who can speak to our professionalism and the value we bring.
- Fees: There are no extra charges when you book through us. We’re paid by the outfitter, not by you — so our job is to make sure you have a great experience and want to book again.
Expectations: Before booking, Haskell or Shawn will personally walk you through everything — from hunting goals and trophy quality to accommodations and physical requirements — so you know exactly what to expect with zero surprises.
What is included in a hunting package?
Each outfitter is a little different. Some include lodging and meals, while others offer them as add-ons. We’ll discuss your expectations and budget, and help you choose an outfitter that fits your needs. Most hunts will include field transportation, guiding, and care of your animal after harvest.
What are the payment and cancellation policies?
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your hunt. If you need to change your dates, we will work with the outfitter to reschedule — as long as sufficient notice is given. Final payment is due prior to the hunt starting. We highly recommend every hunter carry Global Rescue or Ripcord adventure travel insurance in case of emergencies.
Can I bring a non-hunter with me?
Absolutely. We encourage hunters to share these experiences with their spouse, child, or close friends. Many of our destinations are family-friendly and welcome observers or non-hunters in camp.
Will I be sharing camp with other hunters?
It depends on what you want. Some clients prefer a private camp experience, while others enjoy meeting fellow hunters from across the country. Just let us know your preference, and we’ll work to match you with the right situation.
